John and Carla Garman Hill, of Russell, Kansas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 13. John and Carla were married July 13, 1968 at Chase Christian Church in Chase, Kansas. They have two sons Brian of Miami, Fl and Brett of Atlanta, GA. They celebrated July 14th at the Elks Club in Russell with family and friends. Then in August will take a Alaska & Yukon Cruise.

Stapletons to celebrate fiftieth wedding anniversary

Arden and Nadine (Roupp) Stapleton formally of Chase, now living in Russell, were married in Caldwell Kansas in 1964, and will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan.27.

Their children and spouses are Timothy and Dianne, of Grand Chute, Wis; Teresa and Chuck Cass, of Great Bend; Leann and Wade Olson, of Hays. Julia Ann, is deceased. They have 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Nadine retired from Chase High School District Office and is now employed at the Russell Hospital. Arden retired from Rice County Township and spends his time restoring old Army Jeeps and trucks. Nadine also spends her time making quilts and belongs to quilt clubs and has done many numerous quilts over the years.
